Senior A Basketball Playoffs Set

basketball-courtPain Court and Dresden both rounded out the KCSSAA Senior Girls ‘A’ basketball season with wins on Thursday.

Danielle Lucier scored an amazing 25-points for the Pain Court Patriotes in a 49-16 victory over the Tilbury Titans. Krystine Goodison scored a supporting 10-points for Pain Court.

In Dresden, the Lambton-Kent Cardinals were paced by Paige Johnston’s 15-points to grab a 40-20 win over the Blenheim Bobcats.

The wins finalized the playoff positioning, with the top four teams in the Senior A loop matching up in the semi-finals next Tuesday, before the championship game next Saturday, November 9.

Pain Court’s win kept them two points ahead of Lambton-Kent, meaning the Patriotes finish third, and will face the second place Chatham Christian Flames. The first place Ridgetown Royals will host the fourth place Lambton-Kent Cardinals.

Ridgetown finished the season in first with a 9-1 record, with their only loss coming to Pain Court.
